“It is so amazing to watch people’s bodies and minds transform into something strong, balanced and healthy and it is Xtend Barre that works this magic!” Kim was born in Baton Rouge, LA and then grew up in New Orleans. Kim went to school at Louisiana State University and graduated with a degree in Nursing. After nursing Kim moved into the business side of healthcare as a Regional Director of marketing and business development for a hospital and its regional hospitals in Louisiana, Texas and Mississippi. It was after hurricane Katrina that she realized life was too short and uncertain to not do what you love. Her passion for Pilates moved her in the direction of starting her own business. Kim is certified as a Comprehensive Pilates Instructor through Basic Arts and Sciences Institute as well as a Post Rehabilitative Breast Cancer Exercise Specialist. She currently owns Nola Pilates in Lakeview which was the first participating center for Xtend Barre in 2008. After offering this program to her pilates clients in Lakeview for the past two years she knew that she had to open an Xtend Barre studio and wanted to put it in Metairie so that more people could discover the amazing benefits of this meaningful movement. Kim is married and has three boys ages 19 and 7 year old twins. You can reach Kim via email: firstname.lastname@example.org
“I began going to Nola Pilates in June of 2009 taking Xtend classes; it reminded me of the 7 years of ballet classes at Emma Pembo Cieutat School of Dance in New Orleans, I felt this incredible desire to be a part of this unbelievable workout. It was amazing!” Kimberly has always maintained exercise as part of her daily lifestyle for physical and mental health. Because Kimberly and her husband Keith are partners in Maximo’s Italian Grill and are also investors in three Zea’s Rotisserie Grill Restaurants, she is surrounded by wonderful food. Living in a city where food is part of the culture, she is aware of the importance of exercise. Kimberly has her Pilates certification from Balance Body University and obtained her Xtend Certification in October 2009. Kimberly graduated from Cabrini High School, received a Paralegal Degree from the University of New Orleans and has been a licensed Realtor since 2000. Although Kimberly is actively involved in several community organizations, exercise is a priority and an important part of her life. Kimberly is a lifelong resident of New Orleans and lives in Lake Vista.
